Mandarin oil is extracted
from Citrus reticulata (also
known as Citrus nobilis,
madurensis, unshiu, deliciosa)
of the Rutaceae family.
The evergreen tree grows
up to six metres high, with
glossy, oval leaves. It has
white fragrant flowers
followed by the fruit. A native
to southern China and the
Far East and now grown in
warm regions.
This tangy and zesty
essential oil has some great
properties to help relieve
stress and digestive
problems, but is mostly used
to increase circulation to the
skin, reducing fluid retention
and to help prevent stretch
marks.
It is sweet and tangy and
yellowy orange color.
